Since summer is coming to an end I want to share with you one of my favorite smoothie recipes, and I called this one Super Green Smoothie because it’s packed with green power!
This is a great way to get your greens or to hide them in a delicious drink for your little ones. Kids won’t notice that this smoothie is full of veggies because it’s very sweet and refreshing.
Don’t panic when you see kale in the ingredient list. This powerful leafy green is full of nutrients but I do know it has a strong flavor. To cut its bitterness I’m adding some lemon juice, I promise you it’ll do the trick!

Serves: 2 Prep Time: 10 min. Cooking time: - Total: 10 min.
- 2 green apples
- 1 cucumber
- 2 celery sticks
- 1 cup kale leaves
- 1/2 banana
- Juice of a lemon
- 2 cups coconut water
- Chop the apples, cucumber, celery, kale and banana. Try to get organic apples and cucumbers, if you use conventionally grown peel them to avoid consuming all the pesticides.
- Throw all the ingredients into a high-speed blender and mix until well combined.
- Serve and enjoy!
P.S. make sure the coconut water is cold or just add a few ice cubes!
