3-in-1

When growing up I wasn’t a big fan of beets. My mom used to tell me that they would make my tongue pink so I’d eat them. To be honest, sometimes I still have a hard time eating them raw. I love beets roasted, blended as soup or in juices, and that’s where this recipe comes to play!

One of the most popular juices in my country is called 3 en 1 (3 in 1). Some people make it at home but usually you can buy it at any bakery or grocery store in some sort of milk carton.

Since sometimes I get a little nostalgic and miss my country, its people and its food I decided to recreate it at home. Originally you make it with oranges but I decided to use clementines to add even more sweetness to the mix.

Ingredients

  • 3 beets
  • 6 carrots
  • 6 clementines

Directions

  • Run all ingredients through a juicer.

P.S. If you don’t have a juicer you can use a blender. Just add 1-2 cups of filtered water and then run the mix through a strainer.
