Choco-Maca Energy Bites

I love dates. I believe I may be addicted to them… especially medjool dates. They are nature’s most perfect candy and an amazing source of potassium. I use them to sweeten any recipe and love eating them by themselves or stuffed with almond butter!

You’ll fall in love with these energy bites. They're the perfect pre/post workout snack or dessert.

The texture is just perfectly smooth and the flavors are so delicious and balanced that you’ll be coming back for more!

  • 10 pitted medjool dates
  • 1/3 cup almond butter
  • 1/8 cup hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp. maca powder
  • 1 tbsp. raw cacao powder
  • Pinch of sea salt


  • In a food processor or blender combine the dates until they form a paste.
  • Using your hands mix them in a bowl with the almond butter (wet your hands so the mix doesn’t stick to them)
  • Add the maca, cacao and pinch of sea salt. Keep mixing. If the mix is not sticking together add a touch of filtered water (this will depend on what type of nut butter you use)
  • Make the balls with your hands and run them through the hemp seeds.

P.S. You can get creative and add whatever superfoods you like!
